FOX01 is a human forkhead transcription factor involved in insulin signaling. Mutations in this protein have been found in Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma (DLBCL) patient’s cell lines, and associated with decreased survival in DLBCL patients.
Do these mutations affect the folding of FOX01, or disrupt the binding of FOX01 to DNA? As part of our efforts to answer this question, we are performing all-atom simulations of wild type FOX01 to examine the folding landscape of this system. Understanding how mutations affect the regulatory function of this transcription factor will help elucidate the role of FOX01 in the development of DLBCL, and may provide insight for the development of new therapeutics.
